Vikings Group comprises four licensed clubs serving as sporting and social hubs for over 50,000 people in Canberra’s south.
The project at Vikings Club Erindale, situated in the Tuggeranong Valley, exemplifies the club’s commitment to providing top-level facilities for its community.
Vikings Group, recognised as the home of sport in the Tuggeranong Valley, has a long-standing tradition of embodying community spirit and supporting local athletes. They provide exceptional facilities for over 8,000 athletes and players participating in 41 different sports and activities across 51 affiliated clubs.
As a not-for-profit entity, Vikings Group channels approximately $2 million each year into grants, infrastructure, and other forms of support for Tuggeranong’s sporting and community-based clubs. This dedication has contributed over $41 million to the community since the group’s inception, highlighting its profound impact and commitment to the southside community of Canberra.
Our Project
Our team of professional Canberra plumbing experts at Contemporary Plumbing completed a significant refurbishment project at Vikings Club Erindale. The refurbishment included the installation of new pumped drainage systems for the Sports Bar and VP3 areas, ensuring modern and efficient plumbing solutions. Additionally, fire safety was enhanced through the relocation of Fire Hydrants and Fire Hose reels to meet current Australian Standards.
The upgrade to critical plumbing infrastructure and fire safety systems support the club’s ongoing commitment to providing high‑quality facilities for its members and the wider Tuggeranong community.
Another Successful Upgrade
The completed works have strengthened the club’s hydraulic and fire safety infrastructure, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term facility performance. The new pumped drainage systems provide reliable service to high‑use hospitality areas, while the upgraded fire safety installations ensure full compliance with modern standards.
